Los Angeles is a place of total contradictions; this is just another example. The photo is from a beautify japanese garden, which gets it's water from the waste reclimation plant sharing the property. Small hills and short drops make a quiet and majestic waterfall.

The shot is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) composit of three seporate shots: all taken at iso 100 @ f/10, the three shots use a normal exposure [1/160th of a second], an under [1/640th] and an over exposure [1/40th] to create a very painterly photograph.
